Although their trip was short I loved spending time with my mom and dad and can't wait to see them again soon :)

Christmas Part II
Well Christmas continued on the 26th with my parents. Hudson had a great time opening all of his gifts from Mimi and Papa! They gave him some paint brushes, a tool belt, and the cutest little smock for him to wear while he paints.

Christmas Part I
Well we had our 1st Christmas just the 3 of us this year! We were unable to go to Richmond due to my lack of vacation time and the cost of plane tickets. It turned out for the best in the end because I came down with the flu on the 23rd after work. Poor Mack had to do everything on Christmas Eve, take care of Hudson, wrap presents, put together Hudson's kitchen, etc. He really surprised me with how much he took on!

Christmas morning I was feeling well enough to get up with Hudson and let Mack sleep in for a little while. Hudson ran into the living room and went straight to my new bike, I had to direct him over to his kitchen, which he loved!
After we finished opening presents we skyped with the Lindsey's and then we were just lazy the rest of the day until picking up my parents at the airport.
It was a wonderful day for our little family :-)

Christmas Cookies
We had a busy weekend last weekend, on Sunday our friends John and Kristy and their son Jack came over so we could bake sugar cookies!

Opening presents
For those of you that know me I have never rolled out dough and used cookie cutters to make sugar cookies. I did cheat and buy pillsbury dough and then just added some flour and rolled it out. The boys played so well together, they were following each other around and just having a grand time! Kristy and I ended up making most of the cookies but we had so much fun!
And I will leave you with a picture of our beautiful tree!
Christmas Book Exchange
The weekend before Christmas I had a little Christmas book exchange for Hudson and his friends. They were so cute ripping into the presents :)
Right before the party was to start our tree stand broke....thank goodness the tree didn't fall completely over! We put the gate around it and Mack ran out to Home Depot and was able to jerry rig it to the wall.
