CHRISTMAS!!

Merry Christmas everyone! We had a wonderful but busy time in Richmond for Hudson's first Christmas :) Hudson and I went and saw the legendary Santa at the Children's Museum with Grandma Lee......Hudson could have stayed with Santa all day! We ran around town all week trying to squeeze in everyone of our friends so that they could see Hudson. Hudson came down with a horrible cold on Christmas Eve so thus began the constant wiping of the nose!

We had a wonderful dinner at my mom and dad's Christmas Eve and then spent the night with Mack's parents that night. Hudson loved opening presents with his cousin Emma in the morning....well Emma enjoyed opening presents, Hudson fell asleep about 10 minutes in! After presents with the Lindsey's we went up to Richmond and opened presents with all the Bedell's and Kaufman's. My cousins loved playing with Hudson....it was as if life was coming full circle since I was 12 when Colby was born and now they are 15, 13, and 11......they make me feel old!

We then went to my godparent's open house and Hudson was the hit of the party! Mom, Dad, and Todd left to go to dinner for Aunt Betsy's birthday and Mack and I headed back to Chester.
All in all we had a wonderful week with our family and friends!

We will be headed back up to Virginia on the 5th for Hudson's Baptism on the 10th.....we just can't get enough of the airports!

ICE ICE BABY

This weekend was jammed pack with activities! On Saturday night we went to the Christmas Parade in Baldwin Park, it was really fun and Hudson loved it! Sunday we had a long day....starting with church, then over to John, Kristy, and baby Jack's house to play, we all then went to brunch and then drove down the the Gaylord Palms for the ICE experience. ICE is what is sounds like, an exhibit of ice sculptures in the middle of Florida! You have to bundle up in these ugly blue parka's and make your way slowly through the exhibit in 9 degree weather! It was neat but I don't think we would go back anytime soon.

Next Monday Hudson and I head up to Richmond for Christmas, with Mack not far behind!

Thanksgiving

Well we had our first thanksgiving in our new home with our new little man! Mack's parents came down to celebrate with us. Mack was amazing in the kitchen as usual, making the turkey, gravy, and mashed potatoes! I made broccoli casserole and cheesecake pecan pie that was to die for! Helen made her famous corn pudding. Hudson tried some turkey and mashed potatoes but did not like it so he stuck with his pureed turkey and veggies! We were stuffed after dinner, all in all we had an amazing Thanksgiving with our family! We missed the Bedell's and Kaufman's though!

First Blog---An Introduction

This is my first attempt at a blog so we will see how it goes!

Mack, Hudson, and I are trying to find new ways to keep in touch with everyone! We still have our shutterfly site with pictures but we thought this would be a better format to let everyone know what is going on down here in Florida.

Hudson will be 9 months next week and we will also be celebrating his first Thanksgiving at home with Granddaddy Aubrey and Grandma Helen.

Hudson is also crawling all over the place and pulling himself up on everything....we are pretty sure he will be walking soon!
