Spring Has Come

The weather is just wonderful here in Florida and we have been taking full advantage of it! This past week Lee came down for a work conference and we all went out to dinner and then Lee came by before he went to the airport and Hudson just loved playing with him!

Last Wednesday we drove down to Boca and spent the night, Mack had a Bloomberg terminal training all day Thursday so Hudson and I hit the beach! It was gorgeous! Hudson and I went to lunch and there was a little boy about 18 months sitting next to us, turns out his name was Hudson!!! It gets stranger, the family was from Toronto, so naturally I asked them if they had ever heard of Muskoka and not only had they heard of it but they have a house on Lake Rousseau(the next lake)!!!! CRAZY!!!

Saturday Mack and I went to the Arnold Palmer Invitational at BayHill with some friends, it was again a beautiful day for golf. I do have a bone to pick with with golf, it is the most non-fan friendly sport that I have ever been to. If you have fans that pay upwards of $100 for a ticket you should at least sign autographs for them! You also cannot take picture of any of the players, people have had their cameras broken or been forced to delete the pictures in front of security! I just find that to be such a shame, the fans are the people that buy your products and come to cheer you on, the least they could do would be to show them some appreciation!

This week we had a play-date at our house and then today we went to park and walked, went swinging, and played in the grass! Hope you are all having a wonderful week!

Missing the River and Muskoka

On Saturday it was absolutely beautiful here in Orlando so we decided to take a drive down to Saint Cloud. We ended up at the Lake Toho park and walked out onto the point. It was so peaceful sitting and listening to the lap of the water, it makes me long for River weekends and Muskoka weeks. While we do have access to lots of lakes and the ocean it still isn't the same : ( We are hoping to get up to the River for the Fourth....

After our little drive we stopped at our neighborhood picnic for some free food and to pet the horses! Hudson loved the horses but I failed to get a picture of him with them, sorry!

Sunday it rained, no poured, all day long......Hudson and Daddy took long rain naps and mommy watched basketball and nascar of course!

We also have news to report.......Hudson is walking! He cannot stand up from a sitting position but once he is up he is taking about 15 to 20 steps at a time!!! Our lives have changed again!

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Happy St. Patty's Day everyone! We hope you are having a great day :)

We have had a busy week since getting over croup! Monday we went to the park with 20 of our playgroup friends to celebrate all the February and March Birthdays......Hudson put on his Birthday best and had some fun.

Tuesday we went to our friend Jasper's house for a playdate and boy did Hudson have a ball! Jasper had a frog ball pit that Hudson took over....he also kissed his first girl in it! Watch out ladies....

This weekend looks like it is going to be a busy one so we will put up pictures as soon as we can!

These first pictures are of Hudson in an outfit that his grandma Helen made and that his daddy wore when he was little!

Croup

Well, we have had an exciting couple of days here in the Lindsey house. Thursday night after we put Hudson down he woke up a couple time coughing but then would go back to sleep, at about 11:30 he woke up coughing and wheezing, when I went in to check on him he was having a very hard time breathing. I immediately took him into our room and woke up Mack, we calmed him down and tried to decide what we should do, after another little episode we decided to go to the hospital.

After almost 4 hours, 6 x-rays, and a shot later Hudson was diagnosed with croup. For those who don't know what croup is....it is a virus that causes a horrible barking cough and extremely painful sore throat, the throat swells and causes the breathing problems that Hudson was experiencing.

We are confined to the house for the next 3 days a croup is contagious! So much for our Bunny Brunch and Strawberry Festival tomorrow and church and family photo shoot on Sunday :(

Here is a picture of our sweet little boy!

HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY HUDSON

Well it finally happened, Hudson turned 1 on Saturday! We had a wonderful day with our friends and family.

The Lindsey's came down Thursday and took us to a wonderful dinner at the Capital Grille. Friday my parent's arrived and we spent the day getting ready for the party and then we all had dinner at Spice on Park Ave. (so yummy!!) Saturday mom and I spent the morning cleaning and getting ready. The Lindsey's left Saturday night and we spent the rest of the night cleaning up and finishing off the cake! Sunday my parents let us sleep in and got up with Hudson, we then went to the Farmer's Market and walked by the Lake. My parents left Sunday night and Mack and I are recovering from all of the excitement!

We had a great turn out and want to thank everyone for the wonderful and thoughtful gifts. We had a frog cake, a sheet cake, and a smash cake for Hudson. He didn't smash his face in the cake, he got the icing on his hands and was done! He then chose to play with the rattle I made him out of a water bottle with pennies in it instead of all of his toys!

Here are some pictures from the weekend!
